Description
German or Swiss work, the well-wrought skull in two pieces with original black finish alternating with finely-embossed and bright-polished panels, with characteristic comb, and peaked visor and neck guard with ROPED, polished borders. The large earpieces en suite and well fitted, each with circular pierced panel to center. With original large brass studded borders and chinstrap with buckle. Mid-16th century. Blacking rubbed. Overall height 33cm./ 12 63/64 inches. Condition II
