Description
Displaying the simple elegance of Italian work, wrought entirely of steel, the head composed of six massive profiled steel flanges, each flange slotted and brazed to the tapering octagonal haft, which expands toward the butt, the grip defined by two profiled rings, retaining a leather wrap, the butt with modeled lanyard ring, the tip with wrenched bead finial. Latter 15th century. Areas of minor pitting. Overall length 57.5cm./ 22 41/64 inches. Condition III
