The grip of typical form, carved of a single section of dark horn with domed bosses, the heavy blade lightly curved and double-edged with pronounced central ridge showing handforging. In its tooled, leather-covered wooden scabbard with brass chape. Mid-19th century. Overall length 33.2cm./ 13 inches. Condition II
