Description
Of excellent form, wrought in one piece with tall comb and broad, upturned brim with roped borders. Retaining all 17 embossed brass rosettes and its rare cheek plates. Provenanced to noted 1800s English antique arms dealers FENTON & SONS, LONDON, acquired from its descendants. Will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Mid-16th century. Minor wear, 19th c. repairs, releathered. Please note that the antique label shown in the last image is not included in this sale. Overall height 27cm./ 10 5/8 inches. Condition IV
