A rarely encountered type, with characteristic profiled horn grip mounted in engraved brass, with fine single-edged fullered blade engraved at the forte and terminating in an acute tip. In its wooden scabbard covered in engraved brass mounts en suite with the hilt. Mid-19th century. Worn overall. Overall length 53.9cm./ 21 and 7/32 inches. Condition II
