Kachin work, the wooden hilt with rattan-wrapped grip. The chisel-edged blade with characteristic flared tip and semicircular notch, with layer-forged construction visible near the cutting edge. In its wooden scabbard with fine floral carved panel and intact bindings. Late 19th century. Worn. Overall length 77.6cm./ 30 ½ inches. Condition II
