Hyderabad work for a Hadhrami client, the fine silvered hilt of characteristic form, with knuckle chains intact. Mounted with a robust, multifullered single-edged blade with back edge, retaining most original bright polish. In its en suite scabbard with engraved borders and pierced panels. Retains its elaborately-wrought suspension chain. Late 18th-early 19th century. Isolated areas of rust to edge. Overall length 89.8cm./ 35 23/64 Condition III
