Of characteristic form, the karabela-style hilt and mounts wrought entirely of brass with traces of gilding, well embossed and engraved in characteristic geometrical and flowering vine motifs overall and set with bands of corals. The well-wrought blade with illegible gold inlay inscription and a cartouche reading MASH’ALLAH (God’s Blessing!) In its en suite brass scabbard with embossed and chased vinework motifs throughout. Overall length 76cm./ 30 inches. Condition III
