An above average example, wrought entirely of steel, the grip and scabbard chiseled with Persian heroes in cartouches amongst vinework with gilding. The broad, curved, double-edged blade forged of fine, actively-patterned wootz, with raised central ridge and chiseled at the forte with elegant panels of birds amongst foliage. In its en suite chiseled steel scabbard. 19th century. Slight rusting. Overall length 45cm / 17 ??. Condition III
