A robust example with hardstone grips, each set with silver bosses. The tangbands and bolsters inlaid in gold in flowering vine motifs. The broad, recurved blade wrought of fine wootz, with gold inlay inscriptions at the fort on either side. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with embossed silver mounts. Minor isolated rust to blade. 20th century. Overall length 32.8cm./ 12 29/32 inches. Condition II
