Description
A robust example, with polished grips and steel pommel, the guard finely chiseled with Quranic inscriptions to either side. The massive heirloom blade long, heavy and moderately curved, wrought of fine Persian Kara Taban black wootz in a flamboyant Ladder pattern with active temperline. Retains its steel suspension bands chiseled en suite with the guard. 17th-18th century. Areas of pitting to blade. Overall length 90.2cm / 35 33/64. Condition III
