Description
Ilocano work, with horn grip known as a Sinan Kapitan Bulong Pagay, with horn grip, the pommel carved to represent Captain, (later General) Antonion Luna (1866-1899,) the highly-regarded Commander General of the Philippines Army active during the Revolutionary War. With brass pommel and ferrule, and long heavy blade with broad spine and squared tip. Retains its original leather scabbard. Later 19th century. Scabbard well worn. Overall length 65.5cm./ 25 ½ inches. Condition III
