Description
Moro work, the grip carved of hardwood with crested pommel, the ferrule of silver. The broad, handforged blade with Chinese makers mark showing active grain. In its carved wooden scabbard with okir motifs and remains of lime inlays with period capture inscription, USA / GOD (i) HELP ME. Late 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 61cm/ 24 inches.
