A CHINESE QING DYNASTY PAIRED JIAN SWORD
Description
Straight, double-edged blades forged with a central ridge. The hilts symmetrical, with brass pommels, guards and ferrules engraved overall, the horn grips faceted on the obverse and flat on the reverse, fitting neatly into the shared polished wooden scabbard mounted in engraved brass en suite with the hilts. Mid-19th century. Light wear. Overall length 62.6cm./ 24 ½ inches. Condition III
