Description
The horn grips with silver bosses. The straight, handwrought, double-edged blade with narrow fullering and struck makers mark surmounted by a complex inlaid inscription in Arabic in gold. The leather-covered wooden scabbard with fine elaborately engraved and nielloed silver mounts, the chape inscribed KHLIBOBOI in Russian and struck with an Imperial Russian hallmark. 19th-20th century. Leather worn. Overall length 58.2cm./23 inches. Condition III
