Description
With waisted one-piece green hardstone grip and curved, double-edged blade forged of fine Persian black wootz, with chiseled panel at either side of the forte depicting a lion hunting, and strong central rib. In its finely-tooled leather-covered scabbard with bone tip and embossed silver suspension ring. Mid-19th century. Leather rubbed. Overall length 32.2cm/ 12 5/8 inches. Condition III
