Description
The dark horn grips with horsehead pommel. The characteristic blade with expanded spine tapering to a rounded point, struck with a maker’s mark, +BA+ and VILLA HONOR I GLORIA, together with GUERRERO A MI PATRIA. In its leather scabbard with separately applied locket and chape with profiled edges set with panels of cowhide with the hair on. Beginning of the 20th century. Worn, minor losses. Overall length 75.5cm/ 29 ¾ inches. Condition III
