Mughal work, the blade wrought of fine Persian black wootz damascus steel, with rare clipped tip, the ferrule and tangbands elaborately inlaid in gold vine motifs. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with gilt binding. Latter 18th century. Overall length 28.1cm./ 11 1/16 inches. Condition II
