Description
An example of rare quality and size, the long, polished grip with ferrule and guard wrought entirely of finely embossed and engraved silver, the guard with Thai crest. The en suite scabbard likewise wrought entirely of silver, finely embossed and engraved throughout in bands of foliage between complex panels depicting various animals as well as a dragon, and retaining its woven shoulder cord. The single-edged, handwrought steel blade with rare long thrusting tip. 19th-20th century. Stable crack to grip. Overall length of sword 111.6cm./ 44 inches. Condition II
