A rare example of the type, forged entirely of steel. The well-embossed gauntlet with chiseled foliate and geometrical panels. The robust European blade straight and double-edged, with short central fuller. First half of the 17th century. Well worn overall. Overall length 121.6cm./ 47 7/8 inches. Condition III
