Description
The hardwood stock of characteristic form showing faint tiger-striping and profiled silver plaque inlays. The massive miquelet lock with profiling and engraving, the heavy rifled octagonal barrel wrought of the finest of pattern-welded damascus steel, retained to the stock by five profiled silver bands and set with a rare windage sight. Ramrod intact. Mid-18th century. Minor wear. Overall length 131.5cm./ 51 ¾ inches. Condition III
