Kachin work, the hilt with applied bone pommel, the rattan-wrapped grip lacquered, with rare filigreed silver ferrule. The chisel-edged blade with characteristic flared tip showing handforging. In its wooden scabbard. Mid-19th century. Well worn. Overall length 63.8cm/ 25 1/8 inches. Condition IV
