Description
The grip of characteristic form, wrought entirely of silver and finely engraved overall. The handwrought blade with chiseled and silver inlaid panel at the forte, and a pronounced central ridge, showing evidence of wootz forging. In its finely silver scabbard with locket engraved en suite with the hilt. Latter 18th century. Scabbard worn, blade with areas of light pitting. Overall length 39.5cm/ 15 35/64 inches. Condition III
