Early Qajar Dynasty, the crescent-form head wrought of Persian black wootz and lavishly chiseled with vegetal motifs and remains of gold inlay on each side. The faceted haft with silver inlay and peacock finial. Early 19th century. Worn, slight damage to haft. Overall length 67.5cm./ 26 37/64 inches. Condition III
