Description
An archaic type, seldom-encountered. A short, broad weapon typically associated with naval use. The horn grips with arched ears, inlaid with 22 mother of pearl disks outlined in silver nails, with brass tang plates and reinforces. The broad, heavy blade wrought with multiple rows of fine Turkish Rose twistcore damascus steel and inlaid with two clusters of cooper stars. 17th-18th century. Minor wear. Overall length 64cm./ 25 13/64 inches. Condition III
