A rarely encountered type, which saw use from Yemen to Oman. Of highly-domed form, elaborately molded, formed of a single thick section of exotic hide. With filigreed silver boss and pierced and profiled brass mounts, with original grip intact and lanyard to reverse. Latter-18th century. Minor rubbing. Diameter 23cm./ 9 1/16 inches. Condition III
