Description
Likely Uzbek work. The hardwood stock of characteristic flared and faceted form, fitted with a locally-made barrel of considerable length, with thick, rifled walls and swamped muzzle, complete with rare captured bipod. C. 1750. Well worn, stock with stable cracks. Such weapons were very effective and saw extended use from Persia to the Chinese border. Overall length 155cm/ 61 inches. Condition IV
