Description
One of the very few examples of our experience which may be accurately described as a pirate sword. The deep cup with ribbed border, the recurved guard elegant yet somewhat primitive, as is the pommel, the hardwood grip with deep patina. The long, double-edged heirloom blade with central ridge. 17th– 18th century. Well worn overall, areas of pitting, cup with stable crack. Overall length 113 cm/44 1/2 inches. Condition IV
