The well-forged steel head and shank engraved, profiled, and inlaid with brass, as well as decorated with captured British stamps. Set in a turned, hardwood grip. 19th century. Light wear overall. The lohar saw sustained use against British mounted units during the Afghan Wars. Overall length 27.5cm/ 10 3/4 inches.
