The hardwood stock elaborately inlaid with studs in geometrical patterns, the lock of European type. Octagonal barrel with expanded muzzle and elaborate silver inlaid motifs. Retains its ramrod. 1800-1850. Minor wear and stable crack to forearm. See R. Elgood, Firearms of the Islamic World (Tauris: London) p. 183 for quite similar. Overall length 47cm/ 18 ½ inches. Condition II
