The Old Indian-type baskethilt with hooked spike and toggle, with a straight, robust blade wrought with raised teeth along both edges, likely used for parrying and blade-breaking. The form likely inspired by the Pristis or Carpenter Fish common to the Indo Pacific. 17th-18th century. Minor wear. Overall length 61cm/ 24 inches. Condition III
