Description
The horn grips with well-engraved and nielloed silver mounts. The handwrought, straight, double-edged blade with double fullers with etched decoration and long tip. The leather-covered wooden scabbard with elaborately engraved and nielloed silver mounts en suite with the hilt and inscribed on the reverse of the locket, AMAL MAKHMAD (Work of Makhmad.) Latter 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 56cm/ 22 1/16th inches. Condition II
