Description
A robust example dating to the Katipunan era, showing considerable Spanish formal influence, the grip of a single section of horn inlaid with mother of pearl, with brass mounts and rolled and pierced quillon terminals. The well-forged blade finely waved and tapering continuously to the tip, with pronounced central ridge and much original edge. In its leather scabbard mounted in brass en suite with the hilt. End of the 19th-beginning of the 20th century. Minor wear. Overall length 29.2cm/ 11 ½ inches. Condition II
