Of steel, with raised and rolled neck, arm and waist borders, with brass studs. The breastplate with central ridge. The backplate with brass chains, clasps and original leather straps intact. Marked on the interior of the backplate at the lower edge, MANUFACTURE RYLE DE KLINGENTHAL XBRE 1828 2T14 NO. 3243 and hand-inscribed in white paint, 2/1 3243. Dated 1828. Breast studs repaired, belt possibly replaced. Overall height 43cm./ 16 7/8 inches. Condition III
