Circular, formed of translucent hardened hide, lacquered red with polychromed naturalistic trees before which appear elephants and tigers hunting deer and gazelles, with elaborate gilt central panel and borders. With four pierced bosses. First half of the 19th century. Minor wear, losses to lacquer. Diameter 46.2cm./ 18 1/8 inches.
