Folk-work rather than smith made, the grip carved of a single section of ebony with paneled pommel, the straight blade with shallow fuller and angled cutting tip. In its carved scabbard covered in leather, with rawhide binding to the opening. Latter 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 94cm./ 37 inches. Condition II
