Description
Spanish or Italian work. The cup wrought with scalloped borders and incised with vegetal motifs in panels, with the pommel and quillons terminating in elegant flattened beads, the wooden grip with brass ferrules. The fine long, double-edged blade with short central fuller to either side, superbly wrought with waved edges for its entire length. Beginning of the 17th century. Minor wear overall. Overall length 104.2cm./ 41 1/16 inches. Condition III
