A massive example of the type, with ribbed horn grips and well-wrought blade with T-back and raised chamfered edge, appears to show evidence of wootz forging, and inscribed at either forte with Quranic inscriptions, including ALLAH, MUHAMMAD! In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with iron chape. 19th century. Worn. Overall length 48.5cm./19 1/8 inches. Condition III
