Of characteristic form. The bone grips with fine patina, the blade with strong T back and chamfered edge tapering continuously to the tip and forged of fine black Persian wootz. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with large, faceted steel chape. Mid-18th century. Checking to one grip, wear to fabric. Overall length 39.7 cm. Condition II
