The ribbed and black-lacquered mounts with blond horn fittings and silver two-part menuki and habaki. The rare blade of moroha zukuri type with some polish intact, mumei with two mekugi ana, with short hi to either side. Sugu temperline and hada moderately visible. Edo Period. 18th ? 19th century. Overall length 31cm. /12 ? inches. Nagasa 20.9cm./8 ? inches. Part of mekugi lacking, blade with minor sharpening marks. Condition III
