Description
Edo era, the well-forged moroha zukuri tanto blade with faint temperline and grain, and copper habaki. In its wooden saya carved and lacquered to appear as a closed fan, with delicately incised lines delineating each rib in ocher lacquered, the covers lacquered black and inlaid with silver leaves. 18th-19th century. Overall length 30.8cm / 12 1/8 inches. Minor wear. Condition III
