Description
Persiform hilt wrought entirely of steel, the graceful blade of Northern or Muslim form with pronounced T-back and chamfered edge, with engraved and gold-inlaid panels at the forte on either side and forged of the fine Persian black wootz damascus steel, displaying a prominent pattern with fine original finish overall. First half of the 18th century. Wear to tip. Overall length 63 cm. Condition II
