A large example, wrought of superior Persian black wootz damascus steel, with handsomely-grained walrus grips. The figured ferrule forged integral to the robust blade. The tangband inlaid with flowering vines in gold and inscribed, OWNER MUHAMMAD HASSAN. In its shagreen-covered wooden scabbard with brass chape. Scabbard well worn with losses. Overall length 39.9 cm. Condition II
