A massive example, the two-handed wooden grip with filigreed silver ferrule. The older blade well-forged and quite thick at the base of the spine, single-edged and expanding continuously to the tip, with maker’s stamp struck at the forte. In its filigreed silver-mounted wooden sheath. Mid-19th century. Well worn. Overall length 90.1 cm. Condition IV
