Description
The horn grips with characteristic rolled pommel, the robust steel guard with pointed quillon terminals. Mounted in brass, the locket, chape and suspension bands on the leather scabbard all elaborately embellished en suite. The long, graceful, handforged, blade with back-edge. Second quarter of the 19th century. Light wear, minor pitting. Overall length 91.7 cm. Condition III
