Description
An unusually early example of the type, based upon an Italian longarm which evolved in Boka Kotorska. A massive example stocked in dark hardwood, with sloping butt. Mounted in brass, the early lock and triggerguard of engraved steel, the octagonal Italian barrel fitted with sights during the 19th century, and retained to the stock by brass bands. Second half of the 17th century. Light wear. Overall length 166.1 cm. Condition II
