An above-average example of characteristic Marsh Arab form, with robust carved horn grip and fine Persian blade wrought of black wootz and chiseled with a lion hunting a gazelle at the forte. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with large, engraved silver mounts. Latter 19th century. Light wear. Overall length 32.7 cm. Condition II
