Description
The ebony grips with characteristic rolled pommel and inlaid with mother of pearl and knuckle chain. Mounted in gilt brass, the guard, locket, chape and suspension bands on the leather scabbard all elaborately embellished en suite, the locket engraved with the Swedish Army crest of crossed swords on each side. The long, graceful, handforged, blade with back-edge. First quarter of the 19th century. Light wear, minor chipping to grips. Overall length 91.7 cm. Condition III
