The massive blade straight and double-edged, tapering to a slight armor-piercing tip, and wrought with a single offset fuller to either side, etched to emulate pattern-welding. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with steel suspension band and brass locked engraved with a portrait of the Persian hero Rustam. Mid-19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 74.5 cm.
