Of characteristic “black and white†type, wrought in two halves with embossed fleur de lis to either side, polished bright as is the high comb, the remainder with original black finish. The broad, upturned brim with rolled, roped edge. Mid-17th century. Light wear. Overall height 30 cm. Condition III
